Norton has great offence that looks brutal and Page is always best when working from beneath. The match itself is only like 5 minutes, but it's 5 minutes of Norton wrecking Page so it's fun. I already knew this and so should you, but it's worth re-iterating - DAMN Norton is a tank. Hey, it's two good workers having a decent match together. Still, this was rock solid and the best match of the show so far. It makes Buff look legit, but Riggs clearly got the Jannetty treatment. Buff gets the clean win with the Blockbuster, which was very baffling considering the booking of the show so far. This was hardly a hate-filled brawl, but everything was hit with gusto and they got across their beef well. There some overly long restholds and posing from Buff, but otherwise this was a fine match and both guys were clearly motivated. The match is a perfectly fine short garbage brawl, but holy hell was that finish hokey.ДЄt last, a match with an actual story to it -Bagwell turned heel and betrayed his partner in the American Males. Morris then misses a moonsault on the ramp from the stage, and then Traylor jumps on a motorcycle(!) and runs him down(!!).

Morris hits the moonsault and ref Nick Patrick slow counts, stopping him from getting the W. Like full on whipping him in the head with it. At one point Traylor starts whipping Morris with a steel chain and, if that is a real chain, then damn some shots are nasty. This is short, compact brawl and it's not bad. Why is this a Death Match I have no idea and it's not explained. This whole deal was just incredibly sleazey and not in an intentional way.Д«ig Bubba Rogers vs Hugh Morris (Mexican Death Match) The first segment has Biscoff showing pictures of 'honeys' who sent their pictures in for it, most of them oddly in full clothing. In between matches, we get these really cringe-worthy 'Miss NWO' segments where random biker girls get asked questions about how they'd 'please' the nwo guys. OK-ish match though the table being introduced was very random without explanation. Chono randomly decided to set up a table, and naturally the finish is Jericho going through it. this lead to nothing! There was no WCW interference or mass brawl or anything later in the show. About 2 minutes in we cut to the WCW guys coming through the crowd and taking seats. Chono was the opposite - lots of personality, but spent as much time killing time and posing as he did on offence, making sure there wasn't much heat to the match. Jericho had the workrate and highspots, but was bland as hell at this point in his career. A very average opening match that whilest not bad, wasn't particularly exciting either.
